How A Basic Air Conditioner Works

INFINITY® 21 CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONER 24ANB1
Having the fins of your condensing unit cleaned, and cleaning your indoor air conditioning coil will increase the efficiency of your central air equipment. Thus, saving you money in operation and increasing the life expectency of your system. Regular maintenance can also reduce the risk of mold and other contaminants from accumulating in your duct system.
Maintenace tip:
Central air conditioning is otherwise known as a split system. It is basically a two part system. The indoor unit, or coil, is inserted into your furnaces supply air plenum. The air is forced through the coil by your furnace blower. As the air passes through the coil, heat energy is transfered from the air to the liquid refrigerant. This causes the refrigerant to evaporate into a low pressure vapour that is carried to the compressor outside. The vapour is compressed and thus raises the temperature of the vapour. The large difference in refrigerant temperature causes a rapid transfer of heat from the condensing unit to the atmosphere. The vapour is then once again returned to a liquid state and heads back to the indoor coil for more cooling.
Going Green
We offer R-22 refrigerant units for affordability to our customers. We do, however, recommend the "greener" refrigerant technology R-410A. We take great care that our refrigerant will never leak from your system but mistakes can happen. If R-22 leaks from your pipes it emits ozone depleting chemicals into the environment which contribute to global warming. Since the start of 2010 R-22 is now banned from new system production. The refrigerant it self will stop being produced for service needs in 2020. Furthermore, R-410A has no ozone depleting chemicals and increased efficiency and reliability.
Indoor Coil
We're not the only ones that think highly of this unit. It's ENERGY STAR® qualified in all sizes and has earned applause from Consumer's Digest as a Best Buy® winner.

It's easy to understand why. This model is the most efficient air conditioner we make for starters. It's 21 SEER rating makes it ultra efficient.Add to that the fact that its two-stage compressor can make a real comfort difference when it comes to managing indoor humidity.

Two-stage compression lets the system bring the cool when it's needed but allows it to function mostly in low-stage, where you get the highest efficiency and the best dehumidification due to longer run times. It's also quieter in low stage.
